EMPOWERING BEAUTY BEYOND SIZE: THE STORY OF STEPHANIE FINN
In an industry often defined by rigid standards, Stephanie Finn is doing her part to change the narrative, showing that beauty isn’t confined by size, age, or any preconceived notion. A proud mother of five, a full-figured model, public speaker, and passionate advocate for body positivity, Stephanie is a living testament to the power of confidence, resilience, and unapologetic self-love.
Born in Harlem, New York, and raised in Beaufort, South Carolina, Stephanie’s journey into the fashion world is a remarkable one. While many models start young, Stephanie’s path into the industry began later in life, proving that it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Her story is a celebration of the belief that beauty comes from within and that every woman, no matter her size, shape, or background, deserves to feel powerful, celebrated, and seen.
A Career Built on Confidence and Passion
Stephanie’s career began to take flight in 2014 when she joined Pretty Plus Girls LLC in Atlanta, an inclusive modeling agency that celebrates plus-size beauty. Her big break came shortly after when she was signed by Diva Day International, led by the renowned MsNickee Mack. Since then, Stephanie has been a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world, walking the runway, coordinating fashion showcases, and gracing photoshoots that highlight diversity and elegance.
Her modeling career is marked by a string of accomplishments, including serving as a spokesmodel for Teez and Fashion Inc. in Orlando, Florida. Each step of her journey is a testament to her unwavering belief in the beauty of representation and inclusivity.
Breaking Barriers Through Pageantry
Stephanie’s influence goes beyond the catwalk. In 2015, she was crowned Ms. Beaufort Plus America, a title she wore with pride, and in 2016, she earned the distinction of SC Plus America Cover Girl. These pageantry wins were not just about titles; they were about amplifying her mission to empower women, promoting self-confidence, and breaking down outdated standards of beauty.
“Pageantry was my chance to show the world that beauty isn’t a one-size-fits-all concept. I wanted to inspire others to love themselves, just as they are,” Stephanie reflects.
A Voice for Women Everywhere
As a co-host of the "Real Talk with Southern Gems" talk radio show, Stephanie created a platform for open, honest conversations on a wide array of topics. From tackling national issues to discussing everyday relationship matters, the show was a space for women to come together and share their voices. Though the show ended due to the pandemic, its impact remains empowering listeners with the message that their stories are valid and worthy of being heard.
For Stephanie, every opportunity is a chance to spread her message of perseverance. “The challenges I’ve faced haven’t stopped me, and I want others to know that no matter what, it’s never too late to chase what sets your heart on fire,” she says. Her life is a reflection of this belief: that perseverance, dedication, and self-belief are the keys to achieving greatness, no matter what form it takes.
A Community Advocate
In addition to her work in the fashion and media worlds, Stephanie is deeply committed to her community. As an Accountant at a local Community Action Agency in Beaufort, SC, she plays an instrumental role in supporting the needs of her neighbors, reinforcing her belief that true empowerment starts with giving back.
“Empowerment isn’t just about individual success; it’s about lifting up the community as a whole,” Stephanie explains. Her work in the community is just one more chapter in her larger mission to uplift and inspire others.
A Legacy of Empowerment
Stephanie Finn is more than just a model or a public figure, she is a beacon of hope, proving that beauty comes in many forms. Her journey is proof that it’s never too late to redefine who you are, to challenge the norms, and to embrace your unique power. With every step she takes, Stephanie continues to inspire women of all ages, reminding them that their value is not defined by society’s standards but by their own self-worth.
As she moves forward in her career and community, Stephanie’s message is clear: Great things take time, and no dream is too big to achieve. And most importantly, every woman is worthy of feeling beautiful, powerful, and unstoppable no matter her size.
