SISTER ACT

TRANSFORMING WELLNESS THROUGH PASSION AND PURPOSE WITH THE HATCH SISTERS

In the vibrant towns of Houston and Port Arthur, Texas, two sisters are a true reflection of "Black Girl Magic", redefining what it means to turn passion into purpose-driven enterprises. Tynisha Hatch, a licensed esthetician and owner of Goalz Spatique LLC, offers a sanctuary for those seeking transformative beauty services. Since 2012, her spa has been synonymous with empowering self-care, specializing in skincare, ombré brows, waxing, and weight loss management. Beyond the spa, Tynisha embraces a new horizon with pursuits in emergency medical services and firefighting, guided by faith and a fearless spirit.

Meanwhile, sister Tiffany Hatch APRN, harnesses her 18 years of healthcare experience founding and operating 1BodyMedSpa and Vitaboost Infusion. As a Nurse Practitioner, she champions holistic wellness, marrying clinical skill with profound dedication to health. Her visionary approach at Vitaboost Infusion emphasizes personalized care, facilitating journeys to optimal health through natural therapies and wellness programs. Tiffany firmly believes true health radiates from the harmony of mind, body, and spirit.

Together, the Hatch sisters are on a mission to elevate their community's well-being. Tynisha’s commitment to service transcends the aesthetics of her spa, while Tiffany’s holistic methods redefine healing. Their businesses do more than transform exteriors—they nurture growth, healing, and empowerment.

This dynamic duo not only shares a surname but a mission. Their work stands as a beacon of inspiration for others, illustrating how passion, combined with purpose, creates a legacy of impact. Through education and empowerment, Tynisha and Tiffany are crafting stories of transformation, one client at a time.

QSM: What motivated you to transition from traditional healthcare to establishing 1 Body Med Spa?

Tiffany: After 18 years in traditional healthcare, I saw a growing gap between treating symptoms and truly helping people heal. I worked in acute and crisis care, where we focused on saving lives, but not always on transforming them. That inspired me to create 1BodyMedSpa, a partnership with two other empowered women, Turista Jackson and T.Wafer RN, who wanted to impact and shared the same vision. VitaBoost Infusion has been our mobile business since 2018, offering IV therapy and vitamin injections. We have secured this space, where we can utilize our clinical expertise to empower clients with preventative, aesthetic, and holistic care that addresses the root of their health concerns, as well as provide education for other Nurses.

Our infusions at Vitaboost Infusion are more than a wellness trend-they're clinically designed to replenish what the body lacks: vitamins, minerals, hydration, and antioxidants. These therapies help with everything from fatigue and immune support to mental clarity and chronic inflammation. It's about healing the body from the inside out, and the results have been life-changing for many of our clients.

Tynisha: My journey into skincare really started from makeup. Over ten years ago, I was a makeup artist, and I kept noticing that so many women, and even men, were using makeup to cover up things they didn’t feel good about. It made me think, why not go deeper and actually help them fix what’s underneath so they can feel confident without the makeup? Around that time, I was offered a skincare position at a job I had. I took a chance on it, and honestly, I ended up falling in love with it. That’s where it all began.

QSM: How do you integrate your clinical expertise into personalized wellness programs?

Tiffany: Every client who walks into 1BodyMedSpa or Vitaboost Infusion receives a full clinical consultation, just like they would in a traditional setting. I review labs, discuss lifestyle habits, assess stress levels, and tailor a care plan that includes IV infusions, injections, nutritional support, body contouring, or even hormone support when appropriate.

Our goal is to align physical wellness with emotional and mental health. I may recommend a B12 or Lipo B shot for energy, pair it with red light therapy for inflammation, and then guide them on clean eating and hydration. This isn't cookie-cutter, it's comprehensive care rooted in evidence and empathy.

Tynisha: For me, everything starts with connection. When someone comes in for a service, I want to know more than just their skin type—I like to know their lifestyle, their job, their likes and dislikes, even their hobbies. Those things tell me a lot about how they want to look and feel. That consultation time is powerful. It’s not just about the skin; it’s about really understanding what they need so I can create a plan that’s personal to them.

QSM: Can you share a success story that illustrates the impact of your holistic philosophy?

Tiffany:  One client came to us exhausted, struggling with weight gain, pre-diabetic labs, and depression. He had tried every diet and prescription her doctor gave her. After a consultation, we began a customized weight loss plan with semaglutide, weekly IV therapy, and accountability check-ins. We didn't just focus on the scale-we addressed her mindset, her nutrition, and her gut health. I cared about him more than he cared for himself. This was personal due to the loss of my brother from Heart Disease at the age of 44. My goal is to educate and help black men understand the importance of putting their health first.

Three months later, he had lost over 25 pounds, his labs improved, his energy was restored, and most importantly, he felt like a new person and did not have to be on blood pressure medication. That's the power of holistic care. It wasn't a quick fix. It was a life shift.

Tynisha: Balancing my business with EMS and firefighter training is definitely a juggling act. Goalz Spatique is like my first baby, so I’ve learned to build systems and a solid team that keep things running smoothly even when I’m training. Time management has become my best friend, and I’ve had to give myself grace too. It’s not easy, but both paths are worth it because I can see the bigger picture of where I’m headed.

QSM: How do you stay updated with the latest medical and aesthetic innovations?

Tiffany: I'm constantly investing in continued education-whether it's certifications in aesthetic injectables, IV nutrition therapy, or wellness fairs for nurses. I also attend conferences, network with other nurse practitioners and physicians, and follow peer-reviewed journals and clinical updates.

Being a provider means I have a duty to stay ahead, not just with trends but with evidence-based treatments. I also train other nurses and health professionals, which keeps me sharp and accountable to evolving industry standards.

Tynisha: What’s been most rewarding about stepping into the medical field is seeing just how much health and skin go hand-in-hand. The skin is the largest organ we have, and it really tells on you—it shows what’s going on inside your body. Now that I’ve been able to blend what I’m learning in EMS with what I already know in wellness, I look at my clients differently. It’s not just about their skin anymore; I’m thinking about their whole health, and how one impacts the other.

QSM: What are some common misconceptions you often address with clients?

Tiffany: A big one is the belief that aesthetics is superficial or that weight loss injections are a magic solution. I tell my clients: Your appearance is a reflection of your internal health. We don't chase beauty-we restore balance.

Another misconception is that wellness is too expensive or time-consuming. I help people understand that small, consistent choices-like weekly B12 shots, water intake, meal planning-can create major results and just eating God's food and discipline. Education is the foundation of every service I offer.

Tynisha: The moment I really started to let go of fear and doubt was when I decided to lean on my faith like never before. Without faith, fear wins—and I’m not letting that happen. I know that the enemy would love for me to stay small and never walk in my purpose. But I believe God gives us ideas, visions, and dreams for a reason, and a lot of times we let other people’s opinions, or even social media, talk us out of them. I chose to block out that noise and just let God lead me. Ever since then, everything I do feels like it’s pulling me closer to the purpose He has for me. I am fueled by my faith.

QSM: How do you maintain your own wellness while running a busy practice?

Tiffany: I set boundaries and honor my body the same way I teach my clients. I fast regularly, eat clean, journal, work out at 6:30 AM, and keep my spiritual practices strong. I also delegate time to stay surrounded by a team that supports the vision.

Wellness is not a luxury; it's a requirement for me to lead, serve, and create. If I'm not well, my business can't be either.

Tynisha: Wellness to me is mental, physical, and emotional; it’s all of it. We only get one body, so I believe in taking care of it in every way. For me, that looks like working out, staying in my Word, reading books that pour into me, and always learning something new that I can share with someone else. A lot of people come into my spa carrying something—whether it’s stress, health issues, or something heavy on their heart—and I want to be someone who can pour back into them. That’s why bringing more of a health and medical perspective into my treatments matters so much to me. It takes my business to another level and helps my clients on a deeper level.

QSM: What's next for 1BodyMedSpa and Vitaboost Infusion?

Tiffany: I'm excited about expanding our wellness services into underserved communities and those who lack education on Holistic Care. We're working on continuous partnerships with gyms, beauty lounges, and even school districts to bring wellness pop-ups and education directly to the people.

We're also planning to launch training courses and retreats focused on aesthetics and entrepreneurship for nurses. Long-term, I see 1BodyMedSpa Powered by VitaBoost Infusion becoming a flagship wellness brand rooted in mentorship, transformation, empowerment, and community healing-not just vanity. God made it clear this is not my career, it's my Calling.

Tynisha: When I think about the future, I see both of my passions growing. For Goalz Spatique, I see it expanding—not just to get bigger, but so I can reach more people, inspire them, and help them through health and wellness. And for emergency services, I see myself really stepping into that role of serving my community in a different way. My dream is to merge those two worlds, because wellness isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling good inside and out. And everything I do, I do it through Christ who gives me strength.
