Welcome to the September 2018 issue of Queen Size Magazine.
Let’s talk about support. If you follow me on social media then you may have seen the long debate on my fb page in regards to support. One of the questions I asked was we supporting people or are we supporting an industry. Many of us won’t support another person who may be hosting an event simply because they “don’t care for” the person. We all have our reasons for doing or not doing something. But I do think that it is important to try and look at the BIG picture; we are an industry looking to succeed. And while I firmly believe in brand protection, that you should not attach your brand to everything; I also believe in not being judgmental. I truly believe that if it is a person’s passion that they will figure it out; we all started from somewhere. So unless there is a detrimental reason why an event should not be supported by others, let’s try not to blast each other on social media. If it’s not for you then keep it moving.
In this issue we sat down with Marco Mays and discussed is triumphant story of being homeless and is now a humanitarian, entrepreneur, model, activist and more. Be sure to also check out our featured models Kavah King, and Jessica White. Also there is a great interview with Msbeyoudoyou (Ashley Walker).
There are tons of great content to enjoy in this issue.
In every issue I feel it is imperative to give thanks to everyone that continues to support us. We appreciate you more than words can say.
We would love to hear your feedback. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you like, don’t like and/or want to see in future issues. We value your opinion.
