Welcome to the April 2019 issue of Queen Size Magazine. I am writing this as I just finished a live discussion with Sharonda Grandberry, our 2019 Face. Some of the things we talked about being overwhelmed and how to juggle the many areas of our lives. We discussed being and entrepreneur and still working a 9-5 job, while also being parents and spouses. After a hard and overwhelming day, this was a much needed chat. To be able to chat with people who can relate to what you are going through and talk things out is needed every now and again. We also discussed being “my sister’s keeper”. Many of us are moving in silence unnecessarily because they are afraid that someone is going to steal their ideas. Or people try to discourage us in what we are trying to do. There are so many “sisters” that are genuine and are willing to help. I understand that we go through many “friends” or “associates” to find just one genuine person. But don’t get discouraged; make sure you are learning something from each person you come in contact with. So when things “don’t work out” it wasn’t completely in vain. Every “sister” doesn’t have to be a friend.
Something to think about......
In this issue I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jeannie Ferguson for an intimate conversation about how she got to where she is today and what grinds her gears.
I also got a chance to interview the UK native known as Karizza. She is a model, turned makeup artist, turned photographer and also a model coach. Check out her story and her work; they are both phenomenal.
