For The Love of Curves Swim Soiree: Presented by The Catherine Ashly Brand and PlusSizeMePlz

Summer is winding down, but let’s take a look back at one of the Summer Highlights of the Plus Size Industry.

When Catherine Ashly put out the word that she was throwing a Swim Soiree hosted by her PlusSizeMePlz Brand, I bet she wasn’t ready for what she got. The Plus Size Industry came out in record breaking numbers from all over the map. We (and I do mean WE) had so much fun. We danced, ate, networked, danced some more and just had an overall wonderful time.

We were entertained with a performance by none other than Pretty Big Movement. These ladies are the epitome of “if you want it, do it”. It is always so good to see them.

We also got the opportunity to take in a few many fashions showcases from Thick Wave, GlamourGlamour Swimwear and Fashion to Figure. We all know and love Fashion to Figure, but I have to show some love to my girl Tricia Campbell on her new line of swimwear; those pieces are Glamorous honey!!! And Thick Wave has recently made its way onto the scene; we look forward to seeing more of you (check out their feature in the August 2017 issue of Queen Size Magazine).

It was great to be amongst so many beautiful women wearing their bathing suits and being embraced by one another, without worrying about all of the body shaming.

Through Catherine’s hard work and the help of her sponsors FFFWEEK, Painted Thighs, Curve Conscious, Kurvacious Boutique, National Curve Day, Beauty Box Style, Kia Caldwell Photos, LaWrenn Props, Sprinkled Sweetness, Natasha K Photo and of course Queen Size Magazine, this event will be talked about for a long time.

PlusSizeMePlz is an inclusive brand designed to celebrate, uplift and empower the full figured woman; through forums, events and online platform followed by over 28k, we celebrate your curves to the MAX! A subsidiary of the Catherine Ashly brand, PlusSizeMePlz was launched in the Philadelphia market to fill the gap in the disparity of social and informative outlets for women with curves. Body positivity is not a cliché, it’s a lifestyle; and it is the goal of PlusSizeMePlz to create opportunities for plus size women to have to the opportunity to socialize in environments enriched with it.

You Go Catherine Ashly!!!! Job well done. In 2018 I might just leave my cover-up at home. LOL
